Q. Can you tell me more about the Mid Term Exam next Thursday?
A. The exam is point-scored and will be available on Bridges after class on Thursday for 24 hours for a 3-hour window. Class will be shortened on Thursday to accommodate the exam. The exam consists of three sections:
1) There are 20 vocabulary word match questions taken from the first 5 quizzes. It will be sourced from the reading material.
2) There are 5 paragraphs to construct from supplied vocabulary words. You will be asked to look at a visual and describe it using the list of words. The sentences must be theoretically correct.
3) There are 5 questions where students must identify and explain the visual presented. Apply some critical thinking to explain the images using student-supplied vocabulary terms..
There is no study guide. Refresh your knowledge of the visual forms we have covered and create your own study guide for the exam. The materials you should review are the readings, lecture materials, and videos for the first 5 units (review quizzes 1-5). On Monday’s class, we will do an exercise that can help you study for the exam.
You must take the exam using Chrome or Firefox browser. Other browsers may result in crashes and missing answers.
Note, there is a 3 hour window. Students will be able to save and come back to the exam in Bridges prior to submitting within the 3 hours. You will not be able to go back to a previous section once you move forward. (For example, once you click next on vocab match, you cannot go back to that section.) But you will have to submit the exam before the clock runs out. You can only submit once.
See you Monday– we’ll be having a full class study workshop/study session!
