Special Guest Speaker: Karen Donoghue from HumanLogic

On April 19th, comm165 welcomes Karen Donoghue to speak about how she uses visual communication in her practice as a mobile experience designer. She is an entrepreneur, teacher, and friend of mine who invents and prototypes using visual communication. Read her bio and come to class to learn about her work. You’ll find visual idioms that we have discussed in this class: Venn diagrams, sketch explanations, comic storyboards, thumbnails. Hear her story as she discusses her current project and reviews work from her career journey. Meet and ask questions you may wonder about being an artist/researcher/entrepreneur operating her own research agenda, handling PR, and business development.
