Dear students,
For Thursday’s meeting we’ll be doing group work and documenting during the full class time. There is no sketch participation due beforehand.
Instead, as preparation for class, take a 15 minute break to go outside and practice finding sensory forms and being attuned to your eye motions. Try to gaze at things for a long time, see how long your eyes can follow a continuous line in the visible environment. Note the depth perception cues discussed in the last lecture. Try to see the elements in the scene, noting down all the items you can identify. Close your eyes, see if you can visualize those objects in your head. When you open your eyes again, did you remember most of what was there, or only some things? What could you remember the most? What vocabulary words can you recall to describe your experience? —See you soon! Prof. Chang
